Southeastern Residential Alternatives, Inc. (S.R.A., Inc.) is a private, for-profit
organization located in Southeastern Illinois surrounded
by the beautiful Shawnee National Forest.
We provide residential support services to developmentally disabled adults in rural
community settings.
The agency began in 1995 based on the need for this level of care in Southeastern
Illinois, particularly in Gallatin,
Saline, White and Wabash counties.
S.R.A.'s initial and continued success results from the hard work of dedicated,
caring staff and a supportive Board of Directors.
Currently there are twelve homes in operation, which are located in Gallatin, Saline, White, and Wabash counties. Care is provided to adults in a warm, homelike setting.
We are licensed and funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services - Office of
Developmental Disabilities, as Community Integrated
Living Arrangements (CILA's).
S.R.A., Inc. is a proud member of The Illinois Health Care Association.
Services provided to the individuals are coordinated through a person-centered method
of programming. Service providers, guardians, family
members, and others involved in their lives have input in the planning and implementation of the care they receive.
Day program services
are available in all the communities where our homes are located. Individuals are not mandated to attend a workshop; each
person's dreams and desires are looked at individually and their support services are fashioned accordingly.
